For almost two thousand years now, the Catholic church has been a leading educator throughout the world. Over the centuries, its educational mission has both taught and learned much; we refer to this as the “Catholic intellectual tradition (CIT). Our schools today have much to learn from this wisdom of the ages, even as they build upon the CIT to meet the challenges for Catholic education in our time.
