The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) is establishing an eligibility pool of dynamic leaders for anticipated Superintendent of Education positions for the 2025/26 academic year.
Successful candidates will join a dynamic senior team committed to implementing the board’s mission, vision and strategic directions by building Catholic leadership capacity across the district. The ALCDSB builds faith-filled learning communities where each member is loved, inspired, and successful. Responsibilities will include enhancing partnerships with home, school, parish, and community; inspiring and supporting teachers and staff; and developing a robust network of school leaders dedicated to excellence in Catholic education.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board inspires and nurtures strong communities of faith, engaged communities of learning, and compassionate communities of service. Candidates must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold Supervisory Officer Qualifications (or be eligible to obtain these within two years following appointment). They will bring a successful record of teaching experience, plus five (5) or more years’ proven leadership experience as a current Principal or school administrator in Catholic education. They will possess a clear vision for and commitment to Catholic education in the 21st century; a strong focus on improving student achievement and well-being; and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills utilizing a highly collaborative, confident, authentic, flexible, servant-leadership approach to working with others.
