Founded in 2004, NOIC Academy is a private secondary school, offering the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and, since March 2015, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). NOIC currently operates one main campus and one boarding facility in Toronto, with 300+ students, 60+ full-time employees in Toronto and 20+ full-time employees in China, and offers an online curriculum.
NOIC Academy Online provides small class sizes, 32 hours of live teaching for every 8-week course, certified and experienced Ontario teachers, and an outstanding, diverse platform to serve and support students in completing their courses.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital administrative role by co-leading the strategic development and execution of NOIC Academy, and NOIC Online, including the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), A Level (UK Cambridge International), and IB Diploma, while providing vision and foresight on future trends and opportunities to innovate. The Principal will also count on your assistance, as needed, in the fulfillment of his duties and obligations.
With a focus on continuing to build an ecosystem of online synchronous learning globally, you will oversee the recruitment, retention, development, mentorship and supervision of teachers and staff, as well as the student experience (registration, transfers, student records), engage in School Improvement Planning, by providing instructional leadership to faculty, and enhance standardization through digitization to run 24/7.

• Course timetables that function across international borders (i.e., China, Australia, Dubai, Canada).
On the more administrative front, you will ensure compliance with Ontario Student Records, Ontario Student Transcripts, ONSIS reporting, EQAO assessments, and more, track and update student attendance, support and guide teachers, and assist in communicating and articulating the program with student recruiters and post-secondary institutions. It will also be your job to assist with supervising the online Academy program, maintain and update school policies and standard operating procedures, develop and implement the staff handbook, examination timetable, and teaching assignments, develop staff meeting agendas, and generally ensure the efficient coordination of all departments.
A proven relationship builder with worldwide and cultural insight, you will work to ensure that NOIC Academy maintains communication with the Ontario Ministry of Education, the International Baccalaureate Organization and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), and continues to meet ministry guidelines, pass inspections, and deliver student excellence.
About the Candidate
You are a confident decision-maker with a strong academic background, including extensive experience in school operations and management, leading and implementing complete end-to-end school initiatives, with a proven record of successful curriculum leadership, and previous experience with online schooling platforms. These accomplishments are supported by a bachelor’s degree in Education or an equivalent degree, and certification to teach (e.g., Ontario Teacher Certification). A master’s degree and Principal Certification would be considered assets.
An empathetic leader – approachable, transparent and cooperative, an active listener and a team builder, you know how to motivate as well as hold people accountable. Your strengths as a communicator are reflected in your ability to transmit information clearly, while inspiring and coaching staff/teachers, and communicate with key stakeholders at the government and organizational levels. Detail-oriented and a problem-solver, with strong time management and organizational skills, you are agile and skilled in managing change, able to adapt to new curriculum needs and willing to support continuous change.
Exposure to International schools, familiarity with Chinese students (and parents), and their cultural and academic needs, and the ability to speak and/or understand Mandarin would be valuable assets in this role.
