About Us:
The Catholic Education Foundation of Ontario was incorporated in 1976 to foster and promote the principles of Catholic education. It undertook its mission to encourage the establishment of Catholic schools. In the current discussions about the place of values in our society and in education, there is a need for the Catholic community to know, support and celebrate the fine work done in our schools.
The successful applicant will have:
- experience as a Senior Leader in a Catholic School System or as a Catholic School Administrator;
- Religious Education Specialist certificate or an academic background in Religious Education;
- demonstrated commitment to the ideals of Catholic Schools;
- superior communication and interpersonal skills;
- demonstrated organizational skills;
- a track record for innovation and change management;
- demonstrated problem-solving skills;
- the ability to foster positive working relationships with educational
Reporting to the Board of Directors the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- liaising with our board members, affiliates and partner organizations;
- administration of school and student awards program;
- organizing the annual Fogarty Dinner;
- organizing the annual public lecture;
- administration of office including finances and fundraising;
- other tasks as they

Candidates must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold Supervisory Officer Qualifications (or be eligible to obtain these within two years following appointment). They will bring a successful record of teaching experience, plus five (5) or more years’ proven leadership experience as a current Principal or school administrator in Catholic education. They will possess a clear vision for and commitment to Catholic education in the 21st century; a strong focus on improving student achievement and well-being; and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills utilizing a highly collaborative, confident, authentic, flexible, servant-leadership approach to working with others.
