The Northwest Catholic District School Board encompasses a large geographical area including the communities of Fort Frances, Stratton, Dryden, Sioux Lookout and Atikokan. The successful candidate will assume the position at a date to be determined.

Reporting to the Director of Education, the Superintendent of Education is a member of Senior Administrative Council. The incumbent will be assigned system portfolio responsibility and will provide effective leadership to our schools and employees and work proactively with school administrators, board departments and community partners. The successful candidate will support the development and accomplishment of strategic priorities identified in the Board strategic plan.

The successful candidate shall:
- Be an actively practicing Roman Catholic who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to the philosophy, missions and goals of Catholic Education;
- Hold a valid Ontario Supervisory Officer’s (SOQP) Certificate, or hold a Masters’ degree and be willing to complete the SOQP course within two (2) years of date of hire;
- Have demonstrated expertise in instructional leadership, the use of data and project management;
- Be familiar with elementary education, business operations, special education and human resource management;
- Have superior interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
- Have exemplary leadership skills to support the system.
