The Ontario Catholic Supervisory Officers’ Association (OCSOA) is seeking a new Executive Director to replace the incumbent who retires June 30, 2026. Established in 1969, OCSOA is the professional organization of Catholic Supervisory Officers from the 29 English Catholic School Boards in Ontario. The association’s current membership of 340 (222 Active Supervisory Officers and Directors of Education (ECCODE) and 118 Retired (ROCSOA) members) is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors, including a four-person Executive.

OCSOA is dedicated to furthering the interests of Catholic Education and to promoting the professional development and welfare of its members as a faith-centered learning community of leaders called to serve and shape the future of Catholic Education. The Executive Director shall take direction from the President, Executive Committee and OCSOA Board, and has oversight for the implementation of OCSOA’s Strategic Commitments and Action Plan, as well as the work of the Catholic Curriculum Delivery Organization (CCDO), Mentoring and Coaching Programs for newly appointed Superintendents and Directors of Education. The Executive Director serves as Executive Director of ECCODE, serves on CODE and ICE, as well as committees established by either the Ministry or the Association or jointly by Catholic partners as well as serving as Executive Director for ROCSOA, our retired Supervisory Officers. The Executive Director will also assist the board in its responsibilities and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Association reporting directly to the President and the Board.

Representation for OCSOA also includes participation on the Steering Committee for the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of School Administrators (CASSA) as well as active involvement with Catholic education partners provincially and nationally.

The successful candidate will be contracted for up to 180 days per year, with a three-year renewable agreement. To support the transition, the successful candidate will also work up to 35 days, until June 30, 2026, under the direction of the OCSOA Board and/or Executive Director.

Individuals interested in being considered for this senior leadership position, are to submit a complete resume marked “Private and Confidential” by Wednesday, October 15 at 9:00am with interviews being conducted shortly afterwards for those candidates selected by the Interviewing Committee. Application should contain a resume indicating leadership in Catholic education, involvement with OCSOA, and a three-hundred-word vision paper of new areas of our association to become involved in. Candidates should also provide a name of a priest who can offer a pastoral reference and the names of two professional references that can be contacted, if required.
